Printing and Saving Tips
Printing Tips
Zip Files: If the file is a zipped file you will first need to unzip the file.
PDFs: Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (this is a free download) installed on your computer. The PDF may look fine on your screen but may not print correctly (esp. if the file has lots of graphics). In this case first download and install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and then follow the steps below.
Tip: Do not print directly from an internet browser. You should first download the file to your computer and then print. Some people have had issues trying to print from an internet browser especially if they have more than one tab open at a time.
Saving Tips
All Teacher Gems PDFs are password protected which means you cannot lift (copy) graphics from them (a requirement of the graphic designers). The password does not restrict printing or saving a file to your computer. If you have trouble saving the PDF and you are using a Mac, try dragging and dropping the file into the location you want to save it to. You can also right click on the PDF (before opening) and select “Copy…” and then right click and select “Paste Item” in the location you want to save the file to on your computer.
