Learning the 50 states and capitals has never been so fun! These 5 manila envelope games make great center activities. Students match the letter of the state with the number of it's capital. When they've matched up all 10 number cards they turn them over to reveal a design. If their design matches the answer key's design they know they got them all correct! All games and pieces are color-coded so you won't get them mixed up (only a few pages actually require you to print in color--the rest you print on colored paper).

How to Use

Students can work alone or in groups. To play, take out the cards and game sheet and place the number card on top of the corresponding letter (on the envelope cover) to match the state with its capital. When all number cards are matched with the letters on the front of the envelope turn the cards over. You will know if your answers are correct if the design on the cover matches the design on the answer key.
